As an Energy Analyst at the Industrial Training and Assessment Center, I directed energy assessment teams through comprehensive fieldwork and data collection across multiple industrial and commercial facilities. I analyzed complex utility data to identify opportunities for system optimization and peak demand reduction. By serving as a primary liaison to facility management, I ensured these recommendations were technically sound and aligned with their specific operational goals, a collaboration that was central to my work in identifying over $1.5 million in annual energy savings.
In my capacity as a Report Lead, I oversaw the entire audit lifecycle to ensure the delivery of high-quality, actionable findings. I contributed to the development of over 20 opportunity analysis reports, personally leading three where I directed team members through the drafting of technical recommendations. I executed rigorous QA/QC reviews on these documents to maintain high standards for technical accuracy, organizational consistency, and timely delivery to facility management.
As Team Captain, I led the engineering of a custom remote-controlled, solar-powered aircraft featuring a twin-fuselage design to optimize flight duration and payload capacity. Beyond contributing to the structural assembly and integration of solar power systems, I managed team workflows, coordinated communication between advisors and volunteers, and spearheaded technical documentation. My leadership in presenting our design innovations and performance findings to the American Institute of Aeronautics & Astronautics (AIAA) was instrumental in securing essential project funding.
During an 11-week intensive immersion program at Universidad Veritas, I completed three advanced Spanish courses while living with a host family to foster complete cultural integration. Beyond my academic coursework, I traveled extensively across Costa Rica, which challenged me to navigate new environments and engage with a wide range of people. This experience significantly enhanced my cross-cultural communication abilities and adaptability, equipping me with the interpersonal skills necessary for effective collaboration in any environment.
